Melanie La Barrie stars in Mary Page Marlowe at the Old Vic
Mary Page Marlowe is a 2016 play by Tracy Letts that follows the fragmented and non-chronological experiences of Mary Page Marlowe, an ordinary accountant, as she navigates difficult choices and reflects on identity. Instead of a linear plot, the play uses six different actresses to portray Mary at various ages, allowing the audience to piece together the complex, contradictory, and ultimately unresolvable story of her life from different moments and perspectives. The play explores how circumstance, impulse, and time contribute to a person’s sense of self and questions the nature of identity.
Mary Page Marlowe opens on Tuesday 23rd September and runs until November 1st. Tickets can be purchased here.
