Doña Croll stars in Playhouse Creatures at the Orange Tree Theatre
The Orange Tree Theatre in Richmond is set to revive April De Angelis’ acclaimed play, ‘Playhouse Creatures,’ with performances from a stellar cast, including Doña Croll in the role of Doll Common.
‘Playhouse Creatures’ transports audiences to the 1660s, a transformative period in English theatre when women were first permitted to perform on stage. The narrative delves into the lives of five pioneering actresses, highlighting their camaraderie, rivalries, and the challenges they faced in a male-dominated industry.
Playhouse Creatures runs at The Orange Tree Theatre from 15th March – 12th April, 2025.
