Fantasy drama The Witcher is returning to our screens with season 2, starring Jodhi May.
Jodhi May (The Last of the Mohicans) stars as Queen Calanthe in The Witcher. The show also stars Henry Cavill (Superman Man of Steel) as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra (Wanderlust) as Yennefer of Vengerberg, and Anna Schaffer (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) as Triss, and Freya Allan (Into the Badlands) as Ciri.
Based on a series of books by Andrzej Sapkowski, season 2 of The Witcher follows the three main protagonists, Geralt of Rivia, Ciri and Yennefer of Vengerberg as they develop. And we, for one, can’t wait to watch their tumultuous journeys unfold.
The AV Club calls it ‘more of a wintry, somber affair than what’s come before. It’s sullen in some respects, more determined in its mission now that its cast has grown more comfortable in their roles and its dark prophecy is finally beginning to take shape’.
