Pauline McLynn stars in new ITV drama, Holding.
The show is a four-part drama that has been adapted from Graham Norton’s bestselling novel.
Described as a murder mystery with a dark sense of humour the show has been directed by comedian Kathy Burke.
The story follows Irish police officer, Sergeant PJ Collins, a gentle character who hides from people and fills his days with half-hearted police work. But when human remains are found in the sleepy Irish, he finally has a crime to solve. One that’ll unearth some very hidden secrets.
Pauline McLynn stars as Eileen O’Driscoll, and is joined by Conleth Hill as Sergeant PJ Collins and Siobhán McSweeney as Brid Riordan. The show also stars Charlene McKenna, Amy Conroy, Brenda Fricker and others.
The Guardian said the adaptation has ‘wit, warmth and compassion’ in their review.
