Phyllis Logan is reprising her role of Mrs Hughes in brand new cinematic feature, Downton Abbey: A New Era
The film is a sequel to the 2019 film Downton Abbey and the smash hit series of the same name that ran on ITV from 2010 to 2015.
The Crawley family goes on a grand journey to the South of France to uncover the mystery of the dowager countess’s newly inherited villa. In the meanwhile, a film is shot at Downton under Lady Mary’s supervision.
The original principal cast have returned for the second film along with new additions Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Nathalie Baye and Dominic West. The screenplay is written by Downton creator and Academy-Award winner Julian Fellowes, with Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning Gareth Neame and Emmy Award-winning Liz Trubridge producing with Fellowes. BAFTA and Emmy nominated Simon Curtis is directing.
