Robert Emms stars in ‘The Reckoning’

Savile is played by Steve Coogan in the show, which comes from executive producer Jeff Pope and writer Neil McKay who have worked together on previous true crime dramas including See No Evil: The Moors Murders and Appropriate Adult. It will trace the life of Savile from a working-class background to one of the biggest stars in television and will also focus on his years of sexual abuse and the impact he had on his victims.

The Reckoning begins on BBC1 at 9pm on Monday October 9th.
