Two of our amazing artists, Susan Wokoma & Maxine Peake star in new four-part thriller, Rules of the Game comes to BBC1 this January. Inspired by the Harvey Weinstein scandal and the ensuing #MeToo movement, Rules of the Game follows sexual politics in the modern workplace.

Writer Ruth Fowler says the drama is inspired by ‘many women’s experiences’. It is produced by The Forge, whose previous productions include BAFTA-winning National Treasure.

The show hosts a fantastic female cast including Maxine Peake playing Sam, the manager of the family business and Susan Wokoma playing investigating officer DI Eve Preston

What to Watch described Peake as leading a ‘top-notch cast’ in the four-part thriller.

Peake spoke to Radio Times about the female characters in Rules of the Game, ‘They were complex and they were funny – there’s a seam of dark humour I think that runs through it which really appeals to my sense of humour.’

The Rules of the Game airs on BBC One on Tuesday 11th January
