Punched, a new play exploring domestic abuse, will be premiering at Criterion London on 6th December.
Sadie Frost stars alongside Donna Air, Annie Lennox, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Sofia Barclay and others. Directed by Jude Kelly CBE it is an evening of survivors’ stories, and will be fundraising in aid of charities The Circle, Refuge and Southall Black Sisters.
Described as a homage to the Vagine Monologues, s will dramatise the stories of survivors of domestic abuse. The production comes at a poignant point in time with a recent increase in reported domestic abuse cases.
Frost will perform in a two-hander adapted from a screenplay she is writing, featuring a mother and daughter. She told The Guardian, “It draws on my experiences and those of my friends, but it’s not about me.”
